Green school Bali 

I have had an inspiring session of a woman called Beth, primary teacher from Barcelona and she shared her amazing experiences full of passion about Green School. She visited green school when she was in Bali for holidays. She liked it so much, she went for a second visit. There are more than one types of visits available to the school. Because of her enthusiasm I just want to see it with my own eyes. 

Green School Bali opened in September 2008. It is literally a school in a three in the middle of the wilderness. No cars are seen, it seems like they access the school by food or bikes.

This man made a school to provide a future for his children. He grew up in Canada. What drives  him to build this incredible green school in Bali? He had a hard time at school, he is dyslectic like I am myself. He was an unhappy child. At the age of 25 he went to Bali. Where he builds a dream school. The classrooms don't have walls. The school and around the school is becoming a green community. People come from all over the world to this school, .. To build this school in the back of his mind he thought about the the future of his children, grandchildren, ..  We have to teach the kids that the world is not indestructible.Watch the video to have an impression about the school.

21st Century skills

Why do we need 21st Century skills? Everything is changing children need more individual support every day we get more cultures in our school what is great, it makes our classrooms richer. Because of that we notice that we need skills as being more creative, problem-solving, critical thinking, flexible but that's not only in education, it is necessary in different jobs, situations. I noticed that we need these skills’ more than ever when I was a trainee in BSB. Children from everywhere in the world come to this school. What means their background is diverse e.g. Here the children come to school from a younger age than in other countries what makes that some children haven’t been in school before so they are on different level or they are not speaking the language yet. Adobe Spark video

What is Adobe Spark video?  It is a very useful app to make easy and quick educational videos that you can use immediately in your class. You don't have to be a computer expert to learn to work with Adobe Spark video. In my opinion it is very user friendly . Animals  The first video I made is about animals, I put sounds to it that the animals make, To learn the Spanish children at my internship the English words of pets. I’m convinced when you use realistic images and sounds that the children will remember it better. You can also hide the images and let them hear only the sound and then they need to guess which Animals that they hear. Pictogrammen about clothing. The second video I made of pictogrammen about clothing. They can hear the word how you need to pronounce it. The children can explore the videos by themselves or you can play it on the smart-board.
